Miriam Madison

 

PROGRAMMING director

A student of Black collective strategies and a dreamer of abolition, Miriam has served with BAR NONE by DeSign as an intern, Programming Coordinator and now Programming Director. A 2nd year graduate student in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , Miriam’s passion to serve Black people by understanding our conditions and how to be instrumental in the path towards the liberation of her people is what drives her in this work of dismantling the prison industrial complex.

Miriam earned her BAs in Sociology and African American Studies from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she also served as President of the Black Student Government.
